Pizza Festival

We had a big Sunday!  During the day we spent time at the pool, but in the afternoon we really focused on the Wimbledon match of Federer v. Murray.  Over these past 2 weeks I have become and avid tennis viewer.  It is such an intense game, and I think I will be paying a little more attention to it.

Later this evening we got together with a bunch of families.  One of the families I went with was Monica and Marco.  I had met them last year when they hosted my friend Chelsey from Denver.  Chelsey and I still keep in touch.  This summer they have a boy from Ireland staying with them.  He just finished his first year studying at Cork.  It was nice to talk to someone, who also spoke the English language, even if they had an Irish accent.

The reason for all of the families to get together was because there was a Pizza Festival at the local village.  The festival reminded me of a wine festival, but with pizza.  The pizza wasn't the most amazing pizza I have had since coming to Italy, but it was alright.  There were picnic tables set up, long lines for pizza and drinks, and a band and dance floor set up.  It was really neat to see the Italian culture.

After the festival we walked through the village for a little bit, then headed home for the night.  Until next time...
